Unit 1, Day 2

Agenda

1. Warm-up: Predict the Output
2. Post-mortem: which instruction failed first yesterday, and what did it actually say, as opposed to what you meant?
3. First program: Your First Python Program — read it, run it, break it on purpose, fix it
4. Compare and name it: Variables and Data Types
5. Practise: Variables and Types Practice
6. Start your journal: Your First Entry, written here in class — Writing About Code is the standard it is held to

Things to do before our next class

• Finish the first two sections of Variables and Types Practice.
• Read What a Strong Entry Looks Like before you write entry two — it is shorter than you expect, and more specific.
